Remembering Arnhem 1944 and John Garfield Jeffery, RAFVR pilot from Devoran

70 years ago this week Operation Market Garden, the Battle for the Arnhem bridges in Holland was taking place in Holland from 17 to the 26 September 1944. On  19th September 1944, John Garfield Jeffery RAFVR of Devoran was killed with others of his crew during the resupply drops to Arnhem.

John Basil Tallack from Devoran was later killed on 28 November 1944 during the follow up battles advancing through Holland after D-Day.
